High Blood Pressure – The Silent Killer Awareness Coffee Afternoon 

On 21st October 2025, Angelic Network hosted a warm and informative community coffee afternoon at St. Paul’s Church Hall, bringing together local residents to learn about one of the most common — yet often unnoticed — health concerns: high blood pressure.

 Dr. Ali led an engaging and practical session, sharing valuable advice on:
 Healthy eating and the importance of reducing sugar and salt intake
 Taking medication on time and discussing side effects with your GP
 Recognising emergency symptoms — such as chest pain or dizziness — and calling 999 immediately
 Using the NHS Health Check for over-40s to monitor blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes risk
 Incorporating positive lifestyle changes like gentle exercise, hydration, and nutrient-rich foods (berries, celery, nuts, and seeds!)

 Attendees appreciated the opportunity to speak directly with healthcare professionals, learn about free BP checks available at pharmacies, and share personal health goals.

We were delighted to welcome 28 local community members who left feeling more empowered to take control of their health.
