Members were able to handpick a wide variety of fruits and vegetables\, including strawberries\, raspberries\, apples\, carrots\, and lettuce. The stop at Roundstone Farm Shop and Garden Centre added an extra dimension to the trip\, allowing members to not only enjoy the beautiful beach but also to connect with nature and the food they eat. Henna application stalls were also available for members to avail themselves of. The event was a great success and provided an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate Eid in a joyous and festive atmosphere. The Angelic Network were applauded for organizing such an event that promoted community spirit and cultural traditions.

DESCRIPTION:The Food Distribution Drive for Woking\, Maybury\, and Sheerwater \, organized by the Angelic Network\, was a successful effort to provide food to refugees and underprivileged families in the area. The drive managed to supply over 50_ families with fresh produce\, including chicken and vegetables\, as well as cupboard food. The organizers also made sure to include some treats like chocolate and dates for the children in these families. The response from the families was overwhelmingly positive\, as they were struggling to provide meals for their loved ones. This drive brought hope and relief to many families who were going through a tough time\, and it was a great example of how a community can come together to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. This was extremely well received by the families who were struggling with providing meals for their family members. \n

The first session featured a senior dietician from St. Peter’s Hospital\, who gave an informative talk on maintaining a balanced and healthy diet to prevent the onset of conditions such as high blood pressure\, diabetes\, and heart diseases. The attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts in the Q&A session that followed. This was an excellent opportunity for the community to learn about the importance of healthy eating and how it can help them lead a better life. \nThe second session was conducted by Food Wise and focused on healthy cooking and spiritual health. The attendees learned about healthy cooking techniques\, such as using less oil and more whole grains\, which can improve their overall health. Additionally\, they learned about the importance of spiritual health and how it can help them deal with stress and anxiety. The session was interactive and engaging\, with attendees participating in hands-on cooking activities and mindfulness exercises. The two sessions provided a comprehensive approach to promoting health and wellbeing in the BAME community and were well-received by attendees.

The workshops cover topics such as making calls using apps like Zoom and Google Meet\, sending emails\, using the NHS App to make appointments\, and using online banking apps. The workshops were initiated in response to the isolation caused by Covid-19\, particularly affecting minority groups. The classes have been ongoing to help new members and provide refresher courses for existing members. The workshops have been a great success\, helping members to develop their technological skills and stay connected with their communities during these challenging times. \nSince Covid hit\, we realised that the isolation affected a lot of people\, especially minority groups. These classes are still on-going to help new members as well as providing refresher for existing members. \n
